In July 2025, 305 Lansdowne Road, which is between 117 and 128 years old, was purchased by Kenyan-American developer Jonathan Anyumba. He has decided to redo the entirety of the home, tearing out the windows, floors, interior walls, and stairs, among other things.

Whether or not this renovation will attempt to retain the quality and elegance of traditional homes from that era is anyone's guess, or if it will turn into another abomination with plastic-y materials and subpar, grey flooring.
